Rules of the United Vodka competition

1. GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE COMPETITION.

International Tasting Competition «United Vodka» is held annually in Belgium, France and other countries, in order to determine the best alcoholic drinks from around the world, facilitate the advancement of the best vodkas in the new markets and inform consumers about products quality.

2. GENERAL CONDITIONS.

Participants of «United Vodka» contest can be legal entities - producers of alcoholic beverages, or their distributors. Any beverages with an alcohol content of at least 12%, produced in industrial quantities, having a quality certificate of the country of origin, can take part in the competition.

3. PROVIDING OF SAMPLES FOR TASTING.

To participate in the contest you should send an application of a standard form, as well as product samples (at least 2 bottles of each type, having a capacity of 0.5 liters). All costs for shipment, customs clearance, etc. are at the account of participants.

Samples of the beverages must be accompanied by a copy of the quality certificate or another conformity issued by the authorized organizations of the country of origin.

Only applications confirmed by corresponding payments will be accepted for participation in UNITED VODKA competition. All financial conditions of participation at the competition are noted in the corresponding invoices.

4. CLASSIFICATION OF ALCOHOL PRODUCTS AND THE ORDER OF EVALUATION.

  • Vodka
  • Special vodkas
  • Flavored vodka
  • Bitter liqueurs and Balms
  • Sweet liqueur
  • Tequila
  • Cognacs and brandy.

Quality determination is conducted on a 100-point scale. Gold medals are assigned to the brands that received a grade point average of at least 96. The main principle of the tasting: objectivity, independence and absolute anonymity.

All the marks what were done by the jury members are to be posted in the protocol, signed by the members of the presidium. The protocol provides recommendations for awarding the best in each group of alcoholic beverages, based on the average estimates of experts.

Packaging design competition is a part of UNITED VODKA contest. All packages, designed for alcoholic drinks (bottle, box or label), released on the market no earlier than 2 years before the date of the contest, can take part in the competition. The winners are awarded the prize "Golden Star".

Companies whose products have won medals of the competition three times or more, awarded the prize “Crystal drop" - a prize for the stable quality in the production of vodka.

Award winners «United Vodka» which is hold in a festive atmosphere in the city of Cannes (France) in May, during the International FILM FESTIVAL. It helps draw attention of the international press to the results of the competition. Rewarding ceremony in Cannes is integral part of "United Vodka" tasting competition. All arrangements, regarding participation of the winners in the REWARDING CEREMONY are agreed in the relevant contracts between the organizer and participant of the competition or to be stipulating in the organizer's invoices.

Managers of the enterprises, which vodka win the gold medal of the competition, may be awarded in accordance with the special decision of the Organizing Committee by the Order "For achievements in vodka production".
